Join the Gloucester Museum of History for the unveiling and dedication of its newly completed second-floor exhibit. Made possible through a $50,000 grant from the Virginia Museum of History & Culture’s Commonwealth History Fund, presented by Dominion Energy, this exhibition explores Gloucester’s rich and evolving story from its earliest beginnings to the present day.

Discover the county’s history through vivid graphic panels, hands-on interactives, and special local artifacts. Guests will be among the first to experience this exciting new exhibit while enjoying refreshments and fellowship in the museum’s historic 1770 tavern.

*The exhibit is located on the second floor of the Gloucester Museum of History and is accessible only by a staircase with 15 steps

The History of Gloucester County, was funded by Gloucester County, a grant from the Virginia Museum of History & Culture’s Commonwealth History Fund, presented by Dominion Energy, and the Gloucester Museum Foundation.
