Join us for a FREE event about limerick burning, a historic method once used by brick masons to roast oyster shells for mortar. The demonstration will show how oyster shells were turned into a vital building material. Enjoy living history reenactments with lively fife and drum music. Walk around and see reenactors in period clothing sharing stories about their work. The event will feature roasted meats and traditional recipes. Discover how oysters and shells have been used in construction and cooking, highlighting their role in the colonial period.
