Fairfield Archaeology Summer Camps

The Fairfield Foundation is excited to announce the return of its popular archaeology summer camps at Fairfield Archaeology Park for 2026. Now in its fifth year, the program will feature six one-week day camps designed to give children and teens a hands-on introduction to archaeology. What a better way to help kids commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the United States than by exploring than by exploring our colonial past!

No prior experience is required. These outdoor, immersive camps are ideal for children who enjoy history, exploration, and learning by doing. Campers will work alongside professional archaeologists, dig in active excavation units, discover artifacts, solve historical mysteries, play games, and learn about Gloucester County’s rich and fscinating past.

Camps are offered for three age groups, with programming tailored to each level:

Ages 6–8: Half-day camps run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and cost $150 per camper.

Ages 9–12: Full-day camps run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and cost $175 per camper.

Ages 13–15: Returning in 2026, this advanced camp features a more in-depth archaeological curriculum and costs $200 per camper.
